The Schuster Family Transplantation Research Center (TRC) is a multifaceted group of clinicians and investigators that strives to dramatically improve outcomes for recipients of transplanted organs. Formed in 2003 as a result of a generous gift from the Schuster family, TRC is involved in basic, translational and clinical research.

March 9th, 2015: Transplant Research Center (TRC) has 2 plenary sessions in the upcoming American Transplant Congress in May 2015.
- Leo Riella‘s group will present: “Notch-1 Inhibition Promotes Immune Regulation in Solid Organ Transplantation”
- Jamil Azzil will present his work with Reza Abdi: ” The differential role of PI3K subunits Gamma and Delta in Regulatory T cells homeostasis”
In addition, 2 other abstracts will also be presented:
- Ibrahim Batal will present: “Dendritic Cells in Kidney Transplant Biopsies Are Associated With Poor Allograft Survival” on Concurrent Session: Kidney Complications: Late Graft Failure.
- Dr Ana Maria Waaga-Gasser’s group will present the abstract: “Non-Invasive Immune Monitoring Assay in Transplant Recipients” on Poster Session of Innate Immunity in Transplantation.
Congratulations! TRC has being named a recipient of the INC Research Clinical Research Site Award in 2014.
